James Trueblood
The owner, JT, was born and raised in Anchorage and graduated high school here in 1992. In '94 he received an Associate’s degree from Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix where he studied automotive and diesel repair.
From 1994 to 1998, JT worked as an auto technician at Pacific Mitsubishi/Saab/Hyundai. He was then recruited by Nye Toyota and worked as a master technician from '98 to 2006. In 2006 JT help create Specialized Import Auto Service and worked as a master technician of Subarus, Toyotas, Mercedes and all other vehicles. In 2013 he purchased the company from his friend, Mr. Erickson. Since then he's been determined to provide the best quality repairs and customer service possible, provided by someone that has the utmost integrity in the work he does.
During his career JT has also raised two beautiful daughters that can be seen around the shop regularly between college and work schedules.
Jerry Guest
Jerry Guest is an Anchorage native and a second-generation auto mechanic. He has always had a love of cars and grew up working on his own 1955 Studebaker and 1965 Chevy Nova.
He has worked in an attached garage for as long as he could remember and has spent most of his life in the automotive parts industry in one form or another selling service and parts. He is a service advisor with Specialized Import Auto and enjoys working with customers and finding solutions for their auto repair issues, which end with another satisfied client.
Yohanan Harvey
Yohanan studied Automotive Science at Tyler Junior College. In 2006 he joined the Army and graduated Basic as an 11B and in 2007 graduated Airborne as an 11B2P. Soon after, he was stationed at Fort Richardson and then deployed to Iraq with Aco 1-501 under Sergeant major Balcavage. In 2010 after leaving the Army, he moved to Texas with his future wife and started a family. He spent four years racing cars before Alaska withdrawals set in.
He moved back to Alaska in 2014 and began working at Kendal Ford. He soon transferred to Specialized Import Auto where quality work and attention to detail is appreciated by the company and customers alike.
